Why I Created Ringwood 360
A Local Hub, Made with Love (and a Little Frustration)
Hi, I’m Rebecca. I live in Ringwood with my husband Eric and our very good boy, Obi. We are both late 30 somethings, and moved here three years ago, and even though we’re not lifelong locals, this place feels like home.
In 2020, when we were living in Hoboken during the early days of the pandemic, we found ourselves packing up the car and driving to Ringwood just to get outside and stretch our legs. Those trips quickly became our favorite weekend routine and, honestly, a bit of a dream. I kept thinking, I wish we could live here someday. And eventually, we did.
After moving, I started trying to plug into everything happening around town. That meant checking a bunch of Facebook groups, town sites, event calendars, and email newsletters. It was useful, but messy. I was jumping between so many tabs just to figure out what was going on. The idea for Ringwood 360 came from that exact moment. I didn’t want to replace those great community spaces, like the Facebook groups (they’re super helpful and still part of my routine). I just wanted one central place to pull it all together.
Ringwood 360 is here to make life a little easier
It’s a modern, community-focused hub where you can find:
Local events, town updates, and things to do
News and notes from town council meetings - coming soon!
Small business highlights and openings
Spotlights on neighbors doing cool stuff
Updates from nearby towns that affect our daily lives
Tips, recommendations, and all the low-key useful things people usually only find by word of mouth
Built by a neighbor, not a stranger
My background is in education, communications, and community engagement. I like connecting people and making useful things. I’m not trying to become a local influencer or run a media empire. I just care about this town and wanted to create something that helps people feel a little more connected.
You’ll usually find me out walking the dog, exploring the trails, grabbing takeout from a local spot, or checking out an event someone mentioned in a Facebook thread. If something cool is happening, I want to know about it and help other people find it too.
So that’s it. Ringwood 360 is for all of us. Whether you’ve lived here your whole life or just rolled into town, I hope it makes staying in the loop a little simpler and a lot more fun.
I’m hoping the site will continue to grow with more pages, resources, and community input over time, so feel free to poke around, share it with a friend, and reach out if you ever want to collaborate or contribute something.
Thanks for being here.
Rebecca
