Fifteen years ago, Daniel Mollino was told he might never ride a bike again. Since then, he’s biked across the entire country. Now, he’s taking on something even scarier—public speaking—with a side of comedy.
After surviving a traumatic brain injury and working through aphasia, Dan decided to do something most people with word retrieval issues wouldn’t dare: grab a mic and share his story—with laughter, heart, and resilience.
It all started when comedian Joe Larson met Dan out at sea and heard about his journey. Joe told him, “You’ve got to get on stage and share this story—it’s motivational.” That moment planted the seed. Then came J August, who helped Dan take the leap by putting him onstage to find his rhythm.
Now, to mark 15 years of unexpected survival, Dan joining up with his bar-owning friend Sam is hosting a comedy show—with the very comedians who believed in him. And it’s for a cause close to his heart: all proceeds go to the Kessler Foundation, the very place that helped him rebuild his life.
He’s got the bar, the comedians, —now all he needs is the audience to keep it mooooving.
Tickets are 20$ + an order of at least 2 items from the menu to support the bar.
